The newly built luxury accommodation eco retreat with valley and rainforest views, is situated in the rainforest of Currumbin Valley adjacent to the main residence. Fully self-contained kitchenette with washing machine. Nicholas Dattner King sizebed made from Red Gum timber. Eco-friendly bamboo sheets and 100% French linen duvet. 100% Cool Galah luxury cotton towels and organic toileteries. Indoor 20 jet spa bath and outdoor stone bath. Indoor electric fire place and reverse cycle air-conditioning. 40"TV with DVD player plus a selection of DVD's. Outside BBQ. Light breakfast (first morning only) Avocado's, limes and passion fruit (when in season).
Eco-friendly living
The luxury accommodation is powered by 8.2Kw of photovoltaic cells, excess power is fed back into the grid. All water is harvested from the roof of the eco retreat and stored in two 45,000L tanks. Fresh chemical free rainforest drinking water. 315L of solar heated water. Waste water processed and recycled within the property. Biodegradable cleaning products used. Rammed earth walls to increase thermal mass for heating and cooling to save energy.
The land
10 minutes to the beach - 15 minutes from the airport - 5 minutes to the Currumbin rock pools. The Luxury Accommodation Rainforest Eco Retreat is situated on 10 acres. The property was originally an old avocado and banana farm. Avocados are still farmed on the property to supply the local organic fruit and veg markets. Lime trees, paw paw, persimmon, oranges, passion fruit and coffee bushes also grow on the property. There is an abundance of wildlife such as kangaroos, kookaburras and a wide variety of birds.
